TravelFlow has a dark theme that reduces eye strain in low light and can save battery on OLED screens. You can switch between light and dark at any time, and the choice is remembered on that browser.

Toggling Dark Mode

The theme toggle sits in the group of icons at the right-hand end of the top navigation bar, just before the notification bell. In light mode it shows a moon; in dark mode it shows a sun. Hover over it and the tooltip tells you what clicking will do — “Switch to dark mode” or “Switch to light mode”.

  1. Find the moon or sun icon at the right of the top navigation bar.
  2. Click it once to switch to the opposite theme.
  3. The interface changes immediately — no page reload needed.

The toggle is present in the consultant, organization portal, accounting, super admin and private-traveller navigation bars, and on your profile page. A few pages render without a navigation bar at all — the knowledge base at /help and the support ticket pages under /support. They still follow whichever theme you last chose; you just have to switch it from a page that has the toggle.

System Preference Detection

If you have never used the toggle on this browser, TravelFlow reads your operating system or browser theme preference when the page loads and starts in dark mode if your device is set to dark. This check happens once per page load. Changing your device theme while a TravelFlow tab is already open has no effect until you reload that tab.

As soon as you click the toggle, your choice is written to browser storage and used on every later page load, whatever your device is set to.

Important: There is no “System” option in the interface, so the switch to a manual choice is one-way. Once you have used the toggle, the only way to go back to automatic detection is to clear the site data for travelflow in your browser settings, and that clears other stored site data too. If you want TravelFlow to keep following your device theme, leave the toggle alone.

Where the Theme Applies

The theme is applied at the top of the page, so every screen inherits it — dashboards, search and booking flows, accounting screens, reports, tables, dialogs and settings. Nothing needs to be configured per page.

Documents that TravelFlow generates as PDFs — vouchers, invoices, quotations and reports — are built with fixed colours and always come out on a white page. They are unaffected by your theme, both in the browser's PDF viewer and when printed.

If you find a screen that is hard to read in dark mode, report it with a support ticket and include the page URL. The ticket form captures the URL for you automatically.

Where the Preference Is Stored

Your choice lives in the browser you made it in, not on your TravelFlow account. Signing in on a different browser, a different device, or in a private window starts from system detection again, so you may need to set the theme once per browser. Your profile Preferences tab does not carry a theme setting, so there is nothing to change there.
