The bell in the top bar is how TravelFlow tells you something has happened — a quotation is ready, a consultant has sent you a document, a message has arrived. It sits next to the theme switch on every private page, on a phone as well as on a desktop.
The Bell
A red badge on the bell counts your unread notifications, showing 9+ once there are more than nine. Clicking the bell opens the list — a dropdown on a desktop, a sheet from the bottom of the screen on a phone.
The list is split into two labelled groups:
- New — Everything you have not read yet, newest first. Each one carries a blue dot.
- Earlier — The ones you have already read.
Every entry shows its title, its message and both a relative time (2 hours ago) and the exact date and time. Anything you have archived is left out of this list and out of the badge count. When the list is empty it reads No notifications yet.
Opening a Notification
Clicking an entry marks it as read and, if it has an action, takes you straight to the matching screen. The common ones for a traveller are:
- New Quotation — Raised when a consultant sends you a quotation, not when they start drafting one. Its View Quotation action opens the quotation view, where you accept or decline. See Reviewing and Accepting Quotations.
- New Quotation / Invoice / Voucher / Itinerary Available — Raised when a consultant sends you a document. The View Document action opens
Documents, where the item is on the Received tab. - Message from <consultant> — Raised when your consultant sends a chat message. It opens
Bookings > My Bookings, where you open the chat from the booking.
The Full Notification List
View All Notifications at the bottom of the bell menu opens the full notifications page. It shows counts for Total, Unread, Urgent and Archived, then the list itself with more controls than the bell has:
- Category tabs — All, Bookings, Travel, Approvals, Financial, Signatures, Deals, Messages and System, each with a count. Quotations are filed under Financial and chat under Messages.
- A Search notifications… box, an All Priorities dropdown (Urgent, High, Medium, Low) and an All Status dropdown (Unread Only, Read Only).
- Per-row buttons to mark an entry read, archive it or delete it.
- Tick several rows and a bar appears with Mark Read, Mark Unread, Archive and Delete.
- An Archive button at the top right switches the page to the archived view, where the bulk action becomes Unarchive.
The list loads more entries as you scroll to the bottom.
Choosing What You Are Sent
Settings on the notifications page opens Notification Settings, a form with four tabs: Channels (switch Email, Push and SMS on or off globally and per notification type), Quiet Hours (a start and end time on chosen days of the week), Do Not Disturb and Digest (hourly, daily or weekly email summaries). Click Save Preferences at the bottom — nothing is stored as you toggle.
Your profile has a shorter version of the same idea: the Preferences tab with email, push and SMS switches and four categories. See Managing Your Profile.
